(2/3) Series of 3 episodes on sexual violence (VACS)
Considering that the last survey on sexual violence in higher education dates back to 2016, namely the Survey on Sexuality, Safety, and Interactions in Universities (ESSIMU), it is essential to assess whether the situation has changed and whether the actions taken have been successful or not.
As a result, the government committed to conducting a national survey on sexual violence in education through the Action Plan to Prevent and Counter Sexual Violence in Higher Education. Unfortunately, it went back on its word by canceling this essential survey! To discuss the importance of data on this subject, we had the opportunity to talk with Sandrine Ricci and Geneviève Paquette, two researchers who participated in the development of the ESSIMU survey in 2016 and who are currently working at the Research Chair on Gender-Based and Sexual Violence in Higher Education.

Guest:
- Sandrine Ricci, doctoral candidate in sociology and feminist studies at the University of Quebec in Montreal and affiliated researcher at the VSSMES Research Chair
- Geneviève Paquette, professor of psychoeducation at the University of Sherbrooke and affiliated researcher at the VSSMES Research Chair
Host: Flora Dommanget, President of the Quebec Student Union.
