Flexible working hours for a better work/life balance
At QSU, the distribution of daily hours is flexible. The employees have the possibility to choose their schedules, with the necessity to be present/connected between 10 and 3 pm.
The flexibility of the schedules, the choice of the work environment and the number of important days off, make the QSU a pleasant and respectful employer for the people working there. This environment allows employees to have a good balance between their work and personal life.
Summer schedule available
During the summer period, from the end of May to the end of August inclusively, summer schedules can be arranged to free up Fridays. At the QSU, we believe in the benefits of this adaptation for the well-being of our employees.
Total or partial teleworking
Depending on their role, employees can choose their way of working. At the QSU, 100% teleworking is possible, as well as 100% face-to-face work. However, for those who prefer the hybrid mode, we offer the possibility to work up to 2 days per week remotely. In addition, for those who choose a hybrid or remote mode, a one-time budget will be allocated to set up their personal office.
4 to 8 weeks of paid vacation per year.
In addition to the two weeks paid at the end of the year, the QSU can offer up to 6 weeks (30 working days) of paid leave per year, depending on seniority.
Well-being at work
The QSU has adopted a policy of conduct against discrimination and harassment.
It is essential to provide people working at the QSU with a healthy and safe place to perform their duties in a favourable environment.
Health Care Insurance
In recognition of the internal well-being at work, a complementary health insurance is entirely paid by the QSU for the employees and is offered from the end of the 3-month probation period.
Autonomy in his tasks
Being a small to large association, individuals within the organization quickly gain autonomy in their tasks. The roles are very distinct, but very varied in terms of missions, allowing a person to gain a lot of experience, to be autonomous in their role and to be even more proactive in their field of expertise.
Formation
The QSU offers a skills development plan for staff. These trainings can be given internally or be given internally or externally in accordance with the organization's objectives. This support allows our employees to develop their expertise and skills.
Team events
In order to celebrate our successes together, to build a strong team spirit and to bring together our employees with different working styles, the QSU sets up different internal events: 2 annual week-long work and teambuilding camps; team meals, etc.
Working as a team to improve conditions for the student population
We are currently the only national student association. Working at the QSU means contributing to the defence of the fundamental rights and the superior interests of the university student population throughout Quebec.
The QSU puts solidarity, cohesion and teamwork at the heart of its essential values in order to represent and defend its member associations.
